Nokia X6 Is Officially Launched

[Update: Notorious smartphone leaker Evan Blass has hinted at the upcoming Nokia X6 in a tweet. Blass isn't known for leaking obscure phones, so this leak could suggest the Nokia X6 will launch in more regions than previously expected. Previous Nokia models launched by HMD Global have launched globally, so it's fairly likely the Nokia X6, with it's modern flagship design, will launch in other major markets.]

The back looks exactly like the Nokia 7 plus, which was launched by the company at MWC 2018. It has similar copper accents on a white panel with a dual camera module and a fingerprint sensor. The LED flash has found a new place, it has moved below the camera.

However now, it seems HMD is going through a change of heart, as the company is now asking the general public whether or not the device should be launched globally. CPO Juho Sarvikas has launched a poll on Twitter asking fans if the phone should see a global release.

The X6 and the Nokia X3-00 are the first devices in newly installed Nokia Xseries. Before the Xseries, Nokia's music-centred devices were branded XpressMusic. With the X6 (and the X3 introduced same day), Nokia launched its new simpler naming strategy with just one number after the series letter.[4]

The expected price of the phone in Pakistan will be PKR 30,000. But there is no word on the availability of the phone in Pakistan yet, we might have an update once the device is officially launched in the Chinese market.

Nokia X6 is scheduled to be officially launched two days later i.e. on May 16 at an event in China. Even though we do not have any clue on the hardware specification of the device, yet some renders have surfaced earlier which indicate that Nokia X6 comes with a iPhone X kind of notch at the top of the 19:9 display and includes a dual camera module at rear along with fingerprint sensor. Nokia X6 will be the first device from the company with a notch in the display.

In May, the company launched the Nokia X6 in China, which was followed by the Nokia X5 in July. Then, it announced that the global versions of these phones would be named the Nokia 6.1 Plus and the Nokia 5.1 Plus respectively. The Nokia 6.1 Plus has now been officially launched in India, alongside the Nokia 5.1 Plus. The specifications of both phones are listed in the table below:
